We drove the 155 hp Alfa Romeo MiTo through the beautiful landscapes and country roads around Hamme Mille and Leuven...

Alfa Romeo presented today their latest gem to the press, and indeed, it is a little jewel of a car.

We will in the coming days come back with a full driving report on the "MiTo", but suffice to say that the version I drove today, the 155 HP turbocharged 1.4 litre "Benzina", is everything you want a noble four cilinder Alfa to be.

Not only the engine is revving beautifully and displaying lots of torque and power, you can also let the car suit your driving mood by selecting one of three drinving modes, "dynamic", "normal" and "all weather".

The car has of course excellent road manners, and is indeed a very inspiring car to drive and look at, as the following photos, which I took today, amply show.

We will tell you more about it soon on this place, not only on the car itself, but also about the unique way the car has been marketed to the larger public…

The row of Alfa MiTos was patiently waiting to be tested by the professional motoring press at the Brussels Arsenal building: an exceptional place for this Alfa, which is also full of character, like the building!

It is a true delight to see the rev counter climb happily with this truly free-revving engine...
