Belgian rally enthusiasts can rejoice: a Skoda Fabia Super 2000 works car will compete in the Belgian Rally Championship!  The car will be driven by Freddy Loix with Frédéric Miclotte as co-driver, thanks to the generous support of BFO Family Office and (Belgian) Skoda Import.

The CEO of this firm and the man who pioneered this “Family Office” concept in Belgium, Stefaan Vallaeys, met Freddy Loix in autumn last year, at the Rally du Var. Freddy dropped out of the rally at a rather early stage. Freddy decided to follow further the timed stages as a spectator, and Stefaan Vallaeys kept him company. It clicked between the two men, and Stefaan Vallaeys recognized in rally champion Freddy Loix the same values which drove him also to success: ambition, entrepreneurship and modesty. Stefaan Vallaeys made Loix a proposal, and so he became the chief sponsor of Freddy Loix for this Rally season.

An interesting programme…

Freddy will put his works Rally Car at the start of the “Rallye de Wallonie” on April 23, and he will also compete in the “Seizoensrally”  on May 22, with of course the Geko Ypres Rally as a national highlight on the weekend of 26 and 27 June.

From 27 to 29 August the team will compete in the Barum Czech Rally Zlin, followed in the weekend of 23 to 25 September by another international event, the legendary San Remo Rally. On November 6 to 7, the team will close the season with a participation in the Condroz Rally.

We will be anxious to see how the works rally machine, prepared in the workshops of René Georges Rally Sport, will perform with Loix at the wheel, the press conference in Ghent, at the premises of BFO Family Office, was certainly promising indeed!
