This years’ edition of the Brussels Jazz Marathon proved to be a big success. The weather was beautiful, and both jazz lovers and tourists alike have enjoyed this “jazzy” weekend par excellence.
The artists met with great applause and the fans were delighted to hear and see their “stars” perform. It was an uncanny mix of young and old, of beginning talents and, let us say, “old masters”…
As we said, the public and audience was quite varied indeed, with the Belgian aficionados who almost live (only for) for jazz music, or day tourists who were just discovering the European capital, and the foreign tourists who were attracted by the unique “ambiance” of this Jazz Festival, and made the trip to Brussels just to enjoy that…

I just let you look at the photos, which tell you something of the atmosphere of the Brussels Jazz Marathon… and we are already looking forward to next years’ edition!
Your servant will attend on June 14 the Cesaria Evora concert in the Bozar Brussels, in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall. The concert is produced by Jazztronaut in the framework of the VW Spring Sessions. Of course we will report on this soon in our columns…
