Toyota showed its all new Prius in Brussels...
We continue our series of reports here, not only of a very interesting Salon in the capital of Europe, focusing on Toyota and DS Automobiles, but also what they have in stake for Geneva…

Flagship on the Toyota stand is the new RAV4 amongst others, and when talking about green cars, there is the new Prius hybrid for the first time on the Brussels show. We can hardly wait to lay our hands on one... and the same goes for the hybrid version of the RAV4.
Of course, fuel cell high tech is present with the Toyota Mirai fuel cell car. For the time being, it is waiting for the infrastructure to actually run these FC cars in our country.
In Geneva, Toyota will reveal the production version of its C-HR Concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The crossover concept made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2014, but was refreshed for this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show with rear doors. Toyota sayst this concept will look very similar to the production version. Toyota will probably not keep the C-HR name, it will appear along with its production-ready body.
The C-HR will be built on Toyota’s TNGA (Toyota New Generation Architecture) platform, which is shared with the new Prius.
Coming to Lexus, it is good to note that in the meantime, the Lexus LC 500 Coupé made its debut on the Detroit motor show 2016.
If you want to go green, just remember there are very interesting CNG cars on the market, we drove already quite some time ago the Lancia Ypsilon CNG, and it drives beautifully. Also here, there is a problem of fuel availability, but the picture is improving...
DS Automobiles displays refinement...
We were very impressed on the Brussels show by the stand of DS Automobiles, where indeed an outstanding premium panache is shown.
One feels very well cocooned and cosseted in the stand surroundings, with displays of choice arrays of fine leather and even a proper DS boutique complete with refined looking exotic hostesses.
They even sported originally designed leather covered resting benches... Bravo!
New DS3 presented in Geneva…
The DS3 and DS3 Cabrio is very important for the brand, and a facelift to bring the front end styling in line with what we see on the other DS models is due, and will be presented to the public in Geneva.
Indeed, the more angular styling is reminiscent of the DS4. On the PureTech 110 engine, the new EAT6 six speed dual cluth auto box is now available. We are very keen to drive one of course…
For more sporting hearts, there will be a 130 HP version of the three cylinder engine, with a 208 HP version as icing on the cake.
For refined and sporting ladies, the DS3 is light up their sleeve...or shall we say heels?
