Abarth Racing explained…
The promotional racing programme of the marque with the Scorpione has been quite successful, and its racing programme is now expanding beyond the Italian borders. First, there is the Formula Aci/Csai Abarth. This is a formula for single seater cars, powered by a 1400 cc turbocharged Abarth engine tuned by FPT. (Fiat Powertrain Technology). The drivers have cars with the same power, their drivers’ talent making all the difference. Needless to say, the car is an ideal training tool for upcoming drivers. The aim is to identify world motorsport champions of the future. Important in this context is the cooperation of Fiat Abarth with the Ferrari Driver Academy, which had the satisfaction of seeing one of its own drivers win this year (the 17-year-old Brandon Maisano) in the Formula Aci-Csai Abarth.
